Nice lilac toning over good luster. Not much to say other than i really like it!

    Don't like it as much as some others you've posted but still a nice coin.



    Strike shows some typical softness.



    Fields look very smooth.

    If it was a 37 philly probably I woulda passed, figuring a 37-S is not easy to find with any color.

    coins like that often don't photograph too well, I find you need to rotate them around in a bright light source to get the luster reflecting through the toning. I bet that looks great in sunlight!

    I like it. I also think it will look much better in hand than the image your showing. A tougher date to boot. Nice pick upimage

    With your taste in coins, especially walkers, I have know doubt that if you kept it, it's gorgeous. This is something I know as fact. My boy, Jeremy, has superb taste in coins.

    It looks to have nice original skin, the color is hard to judge from the picture. But overall I like the look of it a lot.

    I just got this back from PCGS. It will get sent down to crazyhounddog for high quality imaging.

    PCGS said it is a 65, which is 1 point better than the ICG holder I cracked it out of. I thought it looked like a good 65 candidate. It does look a good bit better than my photos.

    I think it looks original, but given the type of toning it has I would imagine that many folks might not like it all that much. However, I think it quite handsome.

    I like it. I like streaky toning though, and I know that might sound a bit strange, but I do like the streaky ones, copper especially.
    If the reverse was streaky too I'd love it.

    Yes, I agree. Quite a few 37-S I have seen have an "autumn leaves/sunset" kind of color.

    I think it looks very original. The original 1947 Mint set I have the Walkers are toned the same with, what I call, a pinkish brown color. I had never thought of them as being "streaky" but after reading this thread I realize they are.

    It's different, for sure. I think it's the kind of coin/toning that might "grow" on you after a while though. The main thing is that you like it.

    I never thought that growing old would happen so fast.
