Just completed a large selling program on Sunday. Had seven coin lots - 1 no pay. Had 32 card lots - 4 no pays. How do other members ebay experience compare

The coin item was over $400. One card item was over $300 and the other 3 card items were $50 or less
Did you send the buyer's an invoice?
Most buyers seem to pay within 24 or 48 hours. But whenever I run auctions, there are almost always a few that wait longer to pay, sometimes a few days, sometimes a week or more. I typically don't bother the buyers until it gets to be 10 days or so without payment. And even then, eBay already sends them automatic reminders of payment due sooner than that.

Yes. Still no response. I just sent them a request to mutually cancel the transaction if they do not have any intention of paying. Why do people bid if they are not going to Pay?
I agree and understand that. I did receive communication from a few other folks that they will need a few more days, which is fine. It is all about communication on both ends
Seems premature to try to cancel the transaction when it hasn't even been a week. Even though opening an unpaid buyer case may speed up payment, you may also upset a good customer. Remember that not everyone checks their email and eBay every day.
Good luck.

Send: Congrats on this purchase, I've packed your coin (card) and have it ready to post.
thanks, Illini

You are right. Thanks for your input. I appreciate it a lot. The coin buyer has terrible feedback. I don't know why ebay still allows him or her to bid.
How is it a buyer is showing terrible feedback as negative feedback can only be rewarded to sellers?
I've noticed lately many buyers simply don't check with eBay has much as we all used to. For example, I bid and won a small item and luckily opened eBay to see I had won it a couple of days after doing so.
It's easy to bid early- forget- and win without always realizing it. Perhaps at least one of your bidders/winners falls into this category.
Either way, good luck with your sales!

be sure to block him after he pays (or after you cancel the transaction!)
I agree with the above so to reiterate - it's far too early to be concerned. Were a couple of the card lots bought by the same person? I've waited up to 10 days for payment and 4 or 5 days is not unusual, especially through the work week. Wait until this Sunday night and if you've heard nothing by then go ahead and send an invoice. Good luck.
It happens from time to time, but in my case, usually the buyers who don't pay are in a state where I have to collect sales tax. It's in the listing clearly, but seems like nobody reads the description before bidding. Some message me asking why, I charge sales tax, others just don't pay, and they get an unpaid item strike after a week from ebay.

Put you better pay or I'll send Joey to your house to bust your chops.
Hoard the keys.
It happens from time to time. Seems to come in bunches for me.
Some folks on eBay must get a thrill out of bidding, as if it was a compulsion, and then they pray that they get outbid.
I admit I don't understand it, but I think that what happens in a lot of the slow pay cases.
I simply state "please pay within 3 days via paypal." Most pay within 24 hours. I will find out about a sale usually when I see a message on my iphone "you received $250 from Ms Smith." I print out the shipping label from ebay then package the item to drop off at PO. I enclose an invoice. Be sure and insure / do signature confirm on expensive items. I believe its $250 for sig confirm w paypal but recommend you check this out. I think a lot of no pays are buyers remorse - they found something else they wanted to buy.
Update
All paid except one of the high value lots. The 4 day waiting period on the Unpaid item case expires shortly. Thanks for the input. I will exercise more patience in the future
We've seen on the boards where impatience as a seller on ebay can be rewarded with negative feedback.
If you want immediate payment, then set it up as a BIN with immediate payment.
If you don't, then be prepared to relax and wait a few days.
I usually pay anywhere from immediately to 48 hours (depending on if I do a BIN or I put in an early bid and am not around when it finishes...in the latter case, it WILL wait until I get back to my PC at home as I don't do payments and such on my smartphone. That's the buyer's right on ebay, as the goods won't be sent until payment is received (and usually even then, it will take a little time...a day or 2 by the seller...and that is their right.
When this thread was posted, it doesn't appear that even 24 hours had passed.

So, not sure how the "4 day waiting period on the unpaid item case expires shortly", unless it is for a different item from a different timing?
I've been told I tolerate fools poorly...that may explain things if I have a problem with you. Current ebay items - Nothing at the moment
I let eBay handle all my NPB's. My parameters are set up accordingly. (8 days after the auction ends .. no $$ = unpaid item strike against the bidder )
eBay's buyer requirements that block certain eBay buyers from bidding on or purchasing your items:
Don't have a PayPal account
Have received 2 Unpaid Item strike(s) within 6 Month(s)
Have a primary shipping address in a location I don't ship to
Have 4 Policy Violation report(s) within 1 Month(s)
Have a feedback score of -1 or lower
I let ebay auto handle the no pays. Seldom have them believe its been over a year. I use the strictest buyer requirement settings and this has probably saved me a lot of grief.
I got a business to run: After 4 days with no commun or payment, I send out the NPB(ebay auto), then after 4 days . Block and relist. I know things come up, but buyers should be a little more responsible in letting you know if they need a little more time etc., especially after a week. If somebody lets me know they need a little more time, I am usually more than accomadative.
Great insight from experienced sellers on this thread
After 2 days, send an invoice.
After 4 days, open a UPI case and block the bidder
After 8 days, close UPI case to get your fees and relist.
Just had a buyer commit last week with BIN, no prior communication. Then 5 days after the sale date, message to the effect that they need another week to pay. So some people take for granted that taking 12 days to pay is just status quo.

Right now I am having a problem with someone who bought a 3 dollar coins folder and has not paid in a week. I usually just send him an invoice every day after that and then open a case for non payment. If he never responds I just close out the case and get my fees back. If he pulls this a couple of times he will get suspended. Not much you can do.

Unless you stated immediate payment at auction end... best to wait like you stated ..unless you want to risk alienating bidder .remember hearing at coin shop couple years about smart seller..his friends got to together> @TopographicOceans said:

Are there more unpaid bidders this year ? .... some club members say this year is their highest ebay non pays for them since 2008...
It happens more than it should. Where else can you "buy" something and not pay for it for 2 days?
it seems eBay does not suspend for NPB anymore
I have had buyers not pay up to 8 days after the sale. I have my seller account set up to auto-start a no pay after 8 days. At that point eBay sends them a no pay warning and they have always paid. Sometimes a seller has to be patient- it seems like some buyers won't have the funds until they get their next paycheck.
