Raw 1949 Toner

Just got this one the other day. What are everyone's thoughts on grade? I figured 65FBL.

I could make a birth year registry set out of pocket change.

    Pretty coin, I like it.
If no major marks under tone, could go 65+

Coins with fingerprints don't belong in MS 65 holders. Sorry. In addition, I find the toning pattern on that coin to be detracting from eye-appeal, not adding to it. At least I do think it will get a FBL designation.

    All glory is fleeting.

I like it just don't like the print if you can look past that a very nice coin as for full bell need to see it in hand hard to tell by the pic.

Not FBL, and not attractive with that fingerprint. Just not my cup of tea.

It's pretty nice, but that fingerprint does hurt.

I would say at least MS 65 but I don't think it is FBL, as the top ones are incomplete.

I don't think that the toning is all that colorful and it's a bit dark.

I have never liked fingerprints, either, especially ones that are that prominent.

Not my cup of tea with that fingerprint. However, I am not against all fingerprints, as IMO some do tone up in ways that accentuate the given coin.

Does not appear to be FBL..... Top lines 'appear' to be incomplete....

Nice example. I think it has enough to be FBL based on other similar coins for this year.
I do not consider the print a negative here it is part of the coins history and originality.
I think MS65 or 6 seems rational as a guess from what can be seen.

I would submit it assuming you feel it is mint state especially if putting together set. I like it and it appears have original MS toning.

Dante I know you sold it on IG, but that thing is FBL all day long and not bad looking, especially because the obverse has the color and the prints are on back.

I'd like my copper well done please!

Jeff, I haven't sold this one—I bought it a week ago and haven't even received it in the mail yet. This one is going to PCGS.

Sure looks FBL to me. Prints don't bother me on mint set coins. That being said, I'm not entirely sure that is a mint set coin. Maybe, maybe not. It looks MS65FBL or better from this pic.

^No, I'm just observing that by no means does a fingerprint hold a coin back to 65.
