Two accomplishments today and a bonus....

After several years I completed two Whitman Jefferson Nickel blue coin folders. Book 2, 1962 - 1995 and the undated one that I filled with 1996 - 2003. The extra spots in the latter folder I am going to fill by putting reverses "up" for display of both small & large (war time) P D S mint marks, the two newer obverse portraits, and the Westward Journey reverses. Also heads & tails of Shield, Liberty, and Buffalo nickels and any foreign 5¢ coins that are the same size as ours like Canada. Part of this quest was to only take Jeffersons that came from circulation or rolls from the bank.

The bonus I mention is for the second time in about 10 days I found a Buffalo! The last one was dateless standing on the plane, this one is a 1921, probably an FR02. Either way they're always a fun find.

Now onto the harder part..... finishing book 1, 1938 - 1961. Only 31 open holes to fill.... It will be fun.

It only took me 105,000 coins to complete my Jefferson nickel set from rolls that I finished back in 2011. And yes, that includes the 50-D found in a roll.

Wow.... I'm up to about 4000 coins from rolls. I have a long way to catch up.

Wow, I wonder how many people even look at Jeff's in change. I watched a dealer, cleaning out his stock, that when he was finished, had about 4 milk crates full of Jeff's on a dolly. He was saving the silvers, 50=D and a couple others. Everything else, from the 30's and up, were heading to the bank.

It really is amazing. This past week I had two 39's, a bunch from the 40's and 50's, and again two buffs. They were all in rolls at the tellers window ready to go free.

Question: Below the "Cents" on the reverse it seems to me there is evidence of a delam./lamination? Or just PMD?

@BLUEJAYWAY - Yes, it is a delamination on the reverse of this coin, there is also some up by the E of E Pluribus. I couldn't believe it when I flipped that one over and saw the D.

I also found a 1939 DDR the same weekend I found the 1950-D.
