new draped bust addition, going to be hard to build a matched set around this one
Several years ago I built a set of draped bust coinage from 1/2cent-10 dollar in F- AU. Was a fun set, sold it when I purchased a new house. recently thought about building a new set in Mint state, "started" the set months ago, but until this coin showed up, I could not find any coins I really liked. Now I have a new favorite coin
I saw this coin a couple of months ago, had John (coinlieutenant) eval it for me ( he is one of the few collectors who opinion I value more than mine) and then was lucky enough to take it home. Coin just graded with tru views posted today, it graded right where we thought it would.
What do you guys think PCGS graded this coin, I will say the coin has great luster in hand, the reverse looks like an 81-S morgan
Now I have a real challenge to find the rest of the type set to match.
Hopefully this first post on the new system works

can't figure out how to get bigger picture, will work on it, you can find the better pics on coinfacts
Holy moly! That's a beauty!
Wonderful coin, fishteeth! I love the look.
Maybe MS63?
Lance.
That looks pretty dang nice and a type set of that caliber would be stunning.
In honor of the memory of Cpl. Michael E. Thompson
It's a coin worth having regardless of the grade on the holder.
I'm going with 64+ given your luster description and it what looks like no marks.
Best, SH
I don't see any obvious hair or drapery rub. And looks to be full luster, even on the figures which is very unusual except for MS64 and higher draped bust halves. Looks 64 or better to me. If it's a 62/63 coin you did real well. Most of these in mint state holders just aren't really uncirculated. Did you buy this coin raw or just in another company's holder?
Awesome, I've always loved the way luster dances on draped bust coins. I'd say MS-63 ! Good luck finding matching coins.
A Beautiful Draped Bust Half...MS63???
Good luck with your set.
Very nice coin... I would say 64 from the picture... could even go 65 in hand.... Cheers, RickO
Wowsers!!!
I agree with Ricko on the grade.
I agree with Tom. A set of coins with that look would be a feast for the eyes and a fun challenge to go through.
It graded as MS63, it has better eye appeal than many 64 bust halves I have seen. I figured it would 63, but hoped for a 64. Grade on this coin does not really matter to me
this one is all about eye appeal. Now off to find its friends.
That's some coin! Hard to judge from photos but I'm imagining 64 and better.
You have some work ahead finding equal caliber coins.
Real nice 1806 T-28, I bet the reverse lights up like a kaleidoscope! Reverse is die stage 3, with the chip just getting started. A neat variety that is often struck slightly off-center, and is near the end of the 1806 emission order.
Great looking coin
Can't believe that coin is real. Stunning!
The more qualities observed in a coin, the more desirable that coin becomes!
My Jefferson Nickel Collection
playing with photos trying to show the luster on the coin, so much fun to watch the luster dance on the surface.
Beautiful coin!
Lovely example. With time, and patience, you can have a wonderful set.
WOW
yeah. that's nice!
Now I can see where your comments about 81-S Morgan come from. I've never seen an over two-hundred year old coin that pops like that one. Good luck in finding matching coins!
Phenomenal coin! Certainly sets a high bar for your set...I sure hope you'll post updates to this set as they're made.
Absoletely fabulous coin. Surprise grade was not higher with that gem look
Beautiful looker!
