Toning premium on classic commems

How much of a pricing bump does attractive toning add to the interest on these coins? Been watching a few lately and seen some nicely toned 64's sell for 66 money for white coins. Anyone with experience in the set care to shed some light on this for me?

Some toning can be worth an extra $25 or $50, some can make the coin double in value, and some can make a coin worth $1,000s.

In 65 and 66 killer toning can 2x easy.
Attractive toning in 64- 66 the premiums are modest these days compared to years past.

Fellas, leave the tight pants to the ladies. If I can count the coins in your pockets you better use them to call a tailor. Stay thirsty my friends......

This is my jam. In top pop KILLER toning can be 5x plus easy.

Justacommmem,
Your first sentence is interesting. Have I observed incorrectly that most of the top pop coins in any set have killer toning, and that the killer toning is a big part of why that coin edged out the rest?
It seems in Washington Quarters and Franklin halves, for example, the toning premium almost disappears entirely for a top pop coin.
Sometimes, even blazing white coins with amazing luster can have good premiums. For example, Sesquicentennial Halves and Hawaiians often are drab and somewhat indifferent. Blazing, lustrous ones are easy to sell.

Seems anything remotely attractive is license to jack prices and they sell.
Not my jam but it's what I see.

My Washington Quarter Registry set...in progress
Nah. I just had some inconsequential and mediocre stuff and didn't expect to do much except liquidate them to end my short sortie into a few commems of subjects related to the western expansion of the US.
My interest fizzled.
Don't collect what you aren't CONVINCED you'll STICK WITH.
It is one that is fairly easy to find with nice toning.
It was nice but not nearly the nicest I have seen.
If I remember correctly it was a 64 and was bid up to nearly 4x average price with a long
time to go.
Anyway, 6 years after I seen this coin, I owned it. Thanks to Skyman again for the assist a while back. Have sold my collection, and this I still own. Oh yeah, some folks these days call that skin "Haze."
