Post your pattern coins!

I am getting close on my latest newp and will post it here when the deal is done.
(Update: done deal. Coin posted below. Scroll down.)
It is a pattern coin which has, in my humble opinion, off-the-charts eye appeal on multiple fronts: design, strike, grade, and especially toning.
Now, it isn't a US pattern- I can't afford those- so be warned in advance that there will be another Darkside intrusion here before long.
However, I think you'll really like it, too.
And it isn't one of those modern fantasy patterns, either. It is almost 170 years old.
But that's all I'll say for the moment, until I can seal the deal.
Post your favorite patterns here, be they US or foreign, old or new, or even fantasy issues, if you like (yes, DCarr, that means you too.)

My pattern collecting is mostly limited to privately minted "more modern" pieces. But not fantasy pieces. Here's one of them. It's listed in Pollock (P-5500). It can be read about HERE.
Don't get me wrong- I love building sets and filling holes in albums. But "freestyle" collecting is fun, too. Exhilarating, if also fraught with the slight potential for occasional errors and missteps. But it expands one's horizons considerably.

A friendly dealer I have worked with for some time called me this morning,
we chat every so often about my sets, and he loves V Nickels as much as I do.
"Betcha you don't have this date"..... and, considering I have an almost complete
MS set, a complete set in AU 58 and am well on my way of completing my Proof set
of V Nickels ... I knew he wouldn't tease me with one of the five 1913's .... I was
surprised to see this .... Yes, I said, I do want one, when I can afford one, I can't find
a nice one, when I can't afford one, a perfect example is offered to me.
Here's the one pattern I have wanted for many years: J- 1690.

Mark- I have a hunch you are going to approve of my newp when I post it.
I am prepared to pay the seller's full ask price on this piece, so I'm confident it WILL be my next newp unless someone else snatches it.
But since counteroffers were an option offered, I figure I'll try to save as many $ as I can.
Here is the cert page.
Here is the seller page.
Here is an interesting (and seemingly independent) blog post about this very coin.
I ended up getting it for $336.45, so saved almost sixty bucks off the ask price.
I think this thing provides a ton of bang for the buck, comparatively speaking.
Look closely at her necklace. That pretty much sums up my feeling about this piece.
Ta-dahhh!

Lord Marcovan:
Many collectors who read about Shield Earring or Amazonian patterns do not realize that it does not cost a fortune to collect U.S. patterns. Indeed, 1c, 2c and 3c patterns may be effectively collected without spending as much as $5k per item. Many can be purchased for less than $2k.

That is sure pretty. It's also fun to see the worldwide nature of some symbols, such as the fasces, the Liberty cap, a bow tying leaves, etc. But that definitely is one really nice coin!
A pattern denomination type set I put together a few years back.
That little Boiler78 collage is posterworthy.
Boiler78...I am speechless....wow!
Thank you for posting that!
Marine67:
Indeed, that set is fabulous! I have seen several of those in actuality in various settings. Moreover, I have seen additional patterns that Boiler78 has collected. Indisputably, Boiler78 has exceptional taste.

Regarding Washington Two Cent pieces, in part 2 of my series, I provided an example of one that sold at auction for less than $1000 and two more that each sold at auction for less than $2000. I mention a few others in between $2000 and $5000.
U.S. Coin Patterns for Less than $5,000 Each, Part 2: Two Cent Pieces
It was not my intention to imply that representatives of all or even most patterns could be acquired for less than $5000 each. On the contrary, some are very expensive. My point here is that most interested collectors are not aware of the large number of U.S. patterns, many of which are really interesting, that may be purchased for less than $5000 each. The famous and expensive issues, like Shield Earring and Washlady pieces, tend to receive the lion's share of the publicity.
