My spousal unit and I both had a couple of change finds. I got two wheaties (the one with some red left was at Taco Bell). DH also found a wheatie, but also something a little more unusual:

Sadly I think this means someone raided their grandparent's stash. The Taco Bell is near a retirement community and the silver certificate was in change my husband was getting at the retirement community (he had a meeting there and was paying for his lunch).

Apparently the young lady manning the register spotted it and was very worried it was counterfeit and tried to switch it out. Husband resisted, reassured her it was 'real' and then had her look for more. No more were in the drawer. That note is older than my mother and in better shape than me...

About 15 years ago I got a $10 bill in change that was of a series in the 1930s.

The silver certificate above dates from the 1950's.

I have occasionally been given them in change from coin dealers at shows.

1950s?, well then not older than my mother. Older than me, though. I know very little about them (obviously) but enough to know it's a bit of a relic

. At least I know it's not counterfeit like the young lady did. Reminds me of that story of a ? middle schooler arrested for passing a $2 bill.

The note is actually from 1957 as Robert Anderson was the Secretary of the Treasury from 1957 to 1961.

And, this one just turned up. Not locally though, my DH was handed this one in NC. A bit worse for wear, but even so...a bicentennial IKE.
