Jefferson Nickel Variety Of The Week: Nice RPMs For Your Enjoyment
Well, since the Cherry Picker Varieties were not resonating with the Forum, maybe I could share a few of the more dramatic Jefferson RPMs that are out there. I have to say I only have duplicates for the 1946-D/D RPM-001. The other 3 shown below are the only examples I have located in all the years I've been looking. Which is a long time!
I love the wide displacement of these repunched Mint Marks. These are not just slightly rotated or tilted or offset. What makes these really nice is the fact these coins are early die state and show the RPMs very clearly. On later die state coins, these RPMs might not be noticed. I'm already getting ready for Cherry Pickers Volume 7!!
1946-D/D RPM-001

1952-D/D RPM-001

1952-S/S RPM-001

1954-S/S RPM-002

Nice pics and coins!
Do you have all 72 of 43-D's???!!! Man that is wild!!!
Oh, I never got into the "collect all the RPMs" obsession. There are way too many and some of them I'm not sure anyone knows how to tell some of them apart! I stick with RPM-001's and maybe a few others that meet my fancy!
