I voted yes to Buy and Sell but it has been a while since either has happened.

    Not for lack of trying.

Yes. Used it a few years back far more than I do today. I haven't seen many desirable coins at a reasonable price these days and the few that I have I was too slow to respond.

I love the BST and everyone has been great to work with both buying and selling. I would even go as far as saying that I have dealt with some of the nicest coin people around right here on this BST. Very honest, very agreeable, easy to get along with, just great people.

I agree it has been slim pickings for a while now. I miss some of the old posters that used to sell a lot of coins that I am interested in. Seems like they have slowly gone away to the point that very few remain. I really think there's a lot of people that would love to see some reasonably priced, really nice raw coins on the board that are not just links to eBay or auctions. A lot of times, I will list my coins here first at what I think is a good price and then put them up on eBay or at auction if no one buys.

It looks like there are a lot of opportunities to buy there; I never had any luck selling on bst sections on any site; I have linked to ebay where I do sell stuff but frankly the wholesalers often pay just as much as you would net on ebay.

I'd echo what hchcoin wrote. I've done 50+ transactions over there and all went as smooth as silk.
Im sure this thread was created due do the recent screwings of some members. Let's not let one or two bad apples spoil the bunch.

Yes to both buying and selling, many, many times. Most folks are honest and reputable here but I'd practice due diligence with newbies till they have established a track record of some kind.

I've sold on the BST 5 or 6 times to 3 different buyers. No problems at all. Haven't bought, but will someday.

I tend to be very cautious and I've been here long enough (long before my joined date) to know who I would buy from and who I wouldn't.

I'd rather sell to a board member at what I'd net on ebay than have to deal with the high risk of cons from ebay scammers.

    Bingo!

There are some really petty reasons for people not using it.

It's one thing to only want to buy/sell in person. I can understand that.

However, the BST is a great resource and, when used cautiously, can be a tremendous resource.

There is ALWAYS some risk....no matter the venue. Even in person. However, one can mitigate most risk to a very acceptable degree.

    Same with BST.

So, you posted this on 9/24/16 saying you gave up on the BST, but then, you posted a sale thread in the BST on 9/25/16?

Interesting way to "give up" on something.....

    Yes!

I've done about 10 purchases, and 1 sell where I shipped first. All went very smoothly and were pleasant experiences.

But some simple feedback system would be very helpful to buyer and seller, newbie and veteran.
