Catch Me Up! Been out of it for 3 years

For various reasons, I basically dropped out of the Numismatic world for about 3 yrs. Hit a few local, shows, but that was abnout it. What major happenings did I miss? Did the mint release any modern raritites I need to chase after? How has the market shifted (overall value as well as hot or cold series)?

If any of you remember me, I have a 10 month old daughter now. Parenting in your 40's makes you feel old. Wouldn't trade anything for it though.

Welcome back Bothuwui and sadysta1... Market is a bit slow right now - generally speaking.

There have been a few 'discoveries' (i.e 1919 Merc DDO).......just check the first five pages and you will be up to speed.... Cheers, RickO

    Welcome back.

Be prepared for issues with the wretched new software, especially PMs.

That's likely to be one of the bigger changes you'll notice (sadly not for the better, though towards the end, the old software got so buggy that anything, even this train wreck, would've been an improvement).

    But enough grumbling.

Otherwise, the forums continue, for better and for worse. Life goes on. image (Oh-bla-di, Oh-bla-dah)

There is a new type set book out. It includes a lot of the more modern releases, i.e., Westward Journey nickels, 2009 Lincoln Cents, etc.,

It's not a Dansco. Intercept Shield. I don't have a current pic to show. Cost is about $40 to $50. I remember the days I wouldn't want to spend a buck on a coin. image

Welcome aboard again. The mint has put out more of the same old. We know this change is good.
