In that, the OP started the thread then removed their post and the thread had a few heated moments.
So, TPTB likely looked into it and the missing post (that the OP deleted himself) was likely noted and the "delete your own post" option was likely removed because of it.
It was virtually the only improvement in the new software. Figures

Any real idea as to why our host did that?
Not sure if this was the reason, but someone on the card threads brought up 10 year old threads then quickly deleted their post.
