  Barring unusual and understandable (to the seller) circumstances that might affect a bidders ability to pay,bad manners explains it.

  Whoever is careless with the truth in small matters cannot be trusted with important matters.

  I can't abide non payers - one of the reasons I do not sell on eBay.
  A friend deals with these schmoes better than I do - so I send him
  my coins and he lists them and sells them for me.

  I just had one who put in a best offer that matched the amount I had defined as the minimum I would accept, so we won the item.
  
  After 2 days, I send a reminder invoice and on day 4 I open an UPI and block him.
  
  After 4 days I closed the case and relist.
  
  I get one about once a year. It's annoying but not that big of a deal.

  Here's another person of which ebay must be one of those magnets: babadogman. Big check bouncer, ebay and another seller said he bounced a check on them too; he makes excuses the latest was he is filing for bankruptcy due to IRS problems.

  I know this post is kinda old but do you have any evidence of this? I sold him an item through Ebay and had no problems and he cut me a check for another item I had listed and had no issues with that transaction either. I only searched his name since I thought I saw his username on here.
