1992-D CLAM value?
Hey I just found a 1992D CLAM and I have looked for a value on this coin but I didn't have any luck. If someone could help me with a value per grade scale that would be really helpful.

Post a picture so when can give it a thumbs up or down. Many have been mistaken over the years.

Oh, I thought our hosts were certifying seafood now!
My thought exactly. I have a 1996-S oyster somewhere, but I'd much rather upgrade to one of the late-1980s shrimp-only issues.

For now I think this is a fishing thread ............
This is the rarest of the three know close AMs (use of the proof die in making the circulation cents for 1998, 1999 and 2000). The 1998 and particularly the 1999 are rare in higher uncirculated grades in particular.
What shape is your coin in? I still look for those things in change. it's a neat modern variety, and one of the few things in modern coinage that may be worth something in the here-and-now.
Congrats on your find, no matter the condition. It's what makes the hobby fun.

A bit of misinformation here.
1992 Close AM is the rarest.
1992-D is Close AM is the second rarest.
1999 Wide AM is third
1998 and 2000 Wide AM's are rather common and worth nowhere near what the others are worth.
To the thread starter...
Pics please. Value is largely dependent on condition.
You're right, of course.
I was obviously thinking about the wide AM.
The 1999 Wide AM is the rare one, indeed, but I stand by the 1998 Wide AM in higher grades as a rarity. There are only 95 Wide AM 1998 Lincolns in 66 at PCGS, and 11 in 67. That compares with 21 in 66 and 8 in 67 for the 1999. Different, but not powerfully so. The "market" much prefers the 99 Wide AM, though, and the 1992 and 1992-D Close AMs are indeed much rarer, and much more in demand.
Congrats on the 1992-D find! Quite an accomplishment. Do let us know about the condition. Fade top Black is absolutely right: condition matters a great deal.
