HOBO & LOVE TOKEN TUESDAY (vol. 2)

In case you missed last week's thread: HOBO & LOVE TOKEN TUESDAY (vol. 1)
Here are my two newps since last week. Both will get their own threads later, after they arrive, so I can link them up with my collection.
First, one of those "naughty" large cent reverse alterations. Better than average host coin but somewhat poorer than average (perhaps incomplete) carving. The incomplete nature of the carving on this one sort of goes to show how they did these, however.
It might have been the Victorian era, but there was no shortage of raunch around. These were quite the cottage industry and are common enough today that you could probably complete a date set of Braided Hair cents with these risque reverses. Maybe even a good bit of the middle-date Coronet cents, too.
I'm not sure if that's a hit (PMD) or a planchet flaw or strikethrough in the obverse field. Either of the latter would be neat.

Uncensored reverse picture here- consider yourself warned.
Next, I won another modern hobo carving on a Statehood quarter. I liked the owl- my daughter and I collect owls, too, and my grandmother used to (I inherited her collection), so they're something of a family tradition. Strangely, this artist never shows the reverses in his auctions and is not a great communicator, so I have no idea what state is represented on the host coin. I'm hoping it's GA, FL, or NC, since those are the states I have a personal connection to. But it doesn't really matter.

But that's 'nuf about my stuff. Post yours, too!

Are they expensive? Ever seen one with a visible host coin date?
The owl hobo quarter just arrived. It is on a 2015-D Bombay Hook quarter. I had briefly wondered if the host might be a NP quarter rather than a Statehood, but for some reason I was inclined to expect the latter.
I really like that owl....well done. I have one of those 'altered' cents... and done much better.... nice to have a little spice in the collection....need to get a 'potty dollar' too... Cheers, RickO
Yes, my naughty large cent is certainly not as well done as many of them. But I liked it for the sharp host coin and I think the incomplete E-to-U alteration is demonstrative of the carving process they used (which I always sort of wondered about). I too need to get a "potty dollar" and "flying phallus" cent to round out the triad of risque pieces.
Speaking of FE cent carvings- carabonnair, yours is interesting- it almost looks like just a wing rather than the whole bird!

That owl is cool, any idea who the artist is?
Your "Windy" is nice- gives a whole new perspective on "Flowing Hair" coinage.
It just says "Artist: FK" on my owl.
So I dunno. The seller, "s.jimenez.08", has a PayPal account that goes to a Sandra Torres. And I've seen someone call her "Sandra" in feedback. But I dunno if she's the artist (probably not, based on "FK") or just someone who knows the artist. As mentioned, she's not the greatest communicator, though the one reply I got to the messages I sent was pleasant enough. It does appear she's taken note of my suggestion to include coin reverse photos (or at least a description) in some of her latest auctions.
I'll have to ask her more about the artist and see if I get a reply.

He's started colorizing his pieces lately, which I don't care for quite as much. While quite skilled, I'm not sure what to make of his work- some of it looks more drawn or painted on, rather than carved? It's hard to tell, from the pictures. Maybe you can clear up that mystery for me- is that actually engraved?
