    6-7 Is that one of the sets that there's no deduction for the wax stain? If not, likely an ST qualifier for the back.

    Larkin, are there actually sets where there is no deduction in grade for wax stains ? Had not heard of that. Is there some leniency for certain conditions ?

    I know there was one mentioned recently that there were no deductions for some sort of stain since all had it. I can't remember if it was 1915 Cracker Jacks or one that was only issued in 1 cent/1 card wax packs. I'll have to do some digging.

    Thinking it was the 1914 Cracker Jacks since those were only issued loose in the box, 1915 had an option to purchase the full set.

    If I sent it in it would come back a 2 but I think it is a 5 without a qualifier for you

    since you notated no qualifiers I say PSA 3. 10 to 1 a qualifier would have been psa 5 or 6 from my experience getting 3 downgrades :S

    A 4? Almost pack fresh looking HOF RC card close to 70 years old and it gets a 4.....

    What's the point of covering the cert? VCP offers unlimited numbers to steal if someone is looking.

    I would crack and resubmit a couple of times. I think a 5 could be attainable.

    I was gonna guess 5 but the original pix were kind of small. You can definitively see the softness of the corners in the new (graded) pic. I have a Gil Hodges card that's very similar (even with the wax on back) that got a 5. That's a very nice Mays.

    Slight roughness of the upper left hand corner explains it most to me. Staining on these is pretty common at all mid-grade levels, and I don't believe that's a factor so much as corner wear/soft corners. They can sometimes also appear to be crisp, until you rotate them in a direct light.
