Variety Fee on 1891-CC $ Spitting Eagle?

Thought this would have been a well known and accepted variety and would not merit the $18 fee.
Anyone else have experience with this variety?

this. i dont see a non-$18 fee coin number for it in pcgs pop.
.
The rule of thumb for U.S. coins is.......if the variety is listed in the pop report ....no fee. I you have to press the + box to get extra varieties...these require fee.
This.
The spitting eagle is more common than the non spitter....

Thanks, that should help in the future.
Well, this was a cherry pick of a purchase to flip so PCGS was the preferred brand of kool aid.
I wouldn't exactly call a 91-CC VAM 3 spitting eagle a cherrypick just for the variety. It seems not only to be the most common of all 91-CC varieties, but also more common that all others combined. Do check the date position, however, to see if you have VAM 7 rather than VAM 3. VAM 7 is scarce and will sell for a premium, especially in PCGS plastic. Another diagnostic of VAM 7 is a lump on the E of LIBERTY.
