My large cent digital album

My wife went out of town, so I get wild and work on my registry albums! I figured I'd work on the large cents first, since I've picked up quite a few of them. It's a fun way to keep track of what you have and it's pretty easy to show other people. Of course the chain and other early stuff is missing (along with an image for the 1837), but it's getting closer to completion.

Edited to add: The 1837 was found and imaged. All is well!

Very nice set underway - the coins you do have are quite nice.
That 1817 (N-16) with 15 stars is probably tougher than many would realize at that grade level.
The 1800 and 1821 were also standouts to me.
Surprised the digital set only has one slot for 1839....is that customized that way?

I sense a labor of love and dedication that pays dividends for the owner. You have some very nice coins in that collection of yours that most Large Cent guys wouldn't mind taking off your hands.image

Thanks for the props from everyone! When I'm not chasing bust and seated halves, I go after large cents. There are probably dates I'll never get, but even some one the ones in my range have proven to be very tough. I have yet to see a nice VF or XF 1806 cent, very elusive. The 1800 and 1821 were bears too.

This depends on the set you chose. Since I did the basic year set, it doesn't have the major varieties. That's why along with the 15 stars 1817, I also have the 1819/8 and the 1820/19 in those slots, since they were the highest grade. If I expand for the varieties (which I may one day), then I'll have some of the normal dates to fill in the holes

Great coins with nice surfaces. I wish I had the foresight to buy up some pre-1816 large cents back in the 1990s when they went for a song.

Lovely. The 1818 and 1850 caught my eye.

Beautiful collection. What an awesome album to admire, these large copper coins from our nation's early days. Good luck completing the date run. Now hurry up and buy a chain cent before the wife gets back and starts asking questions!
