Just how long can a silver coin stay fully original "white"?

Many of the silver dollars from the 1962-63 release were still fully original white even though they had been in storage since the late 19th century. What is the earliest silver coin you are aware of that is fully original "white"?
All glory is fleeting.

1962-63?
I was going to say none during these years.
1962-63?
He said that they were released in 62-63 not struck in 62-63. They were struck in the late 1800s.
I've had Mughal dynasty silver coins from the 1300's that were not toned nor cleaned. One on right is an example:

You mean 1500's since Mughal empire was not around 1300's . Nice mohur, btw.

If they're stored with little or no exposure to air or airborne contaminants, they should stay as minted indefinitely.

True enough; on the other side, I've seen coins taken out of holders and left in a drawer start to tone within a couple of weeks.
I think some of the mint bags of silver dollars showed a lot of variation depending on where they were within the bags....those close to the outside developed toning, those buried deep within stayed white.
