I just won a Mint State 1909-S VDB..
... 45-RPM Artist-Autographed Vinyl Record...
...in a blog contest from StacksBowers.
Yes, an eccentric oddity for this eccentric oddball collector of such items, but it will look sweet on display in my office alongside dozens of other numismatic miscellany, including a numismatic LP album and everything from a pair of 'Deep Mirror Proof Like 1971 Eisenhower Dollar Jello Molds' (obverse and reverse) to a 'Coin Asparagus' Fruit Label Table Lamp and more.
Background on the esoteric 1990-issued '15th Anniversary' 45-RPM from the Rockaways can be read in the blog entry here, and you can even listen to an MP3 the original 1975 jam session.
I realize this may not float everyone's boat, but to those of us who collect both coins and numismatic miscellany it is quite sweet.
My thanks to Ben Orooji, Numismatist at StacksBowers for holding the contest on their blog.
I don't post often here due to a busy travel schedule -- and this is my first attempt at displaying photos since the new forum software came online -- but hopefully I can get the images to display properly and in a reasonable size. My apologies in advance if I fail in this attempt. Included in the images is a photo of another Numismatic Vinyl ('It Had To B.U.') which is now a companion piece in my newest oddball collection: '20th Century Numismatic Vinyl By Type'.

the 1909-S VDB song isn't on YouTube. Darn.

I guess with a title like that, writing lyrics was too much trouble.
