TalerUniverse.com is a curated numismatic project dedicated to the silver talers, crowns, and medals of the Habsburg Empire and the Holy Roman Empire, spanning the 16th–18th centuries. The collection emphasizes historically significant issues, rare mint varieties, and high-grade NGC/PCGS examples, presented with detailed historical context, scholarly references, and high-resolution photography. TalerUniverse aims to serve both as a private collection showcase and a growing reference resource for collectors, researchers, and students of early-modern European coinage.

Well, I don't have a photo of my new 1837 CR 4E. And besides, I wouldn't want to make Brian's coin look bad. But I will post a picture of the coin in my sig line, just for kicks. It's the Eliasberg 1830/29 NG 2 Escudos. MS 65.

How come you don't offer coins like that for sale?
I manage money. I earn money. I save money . I give away money. I collect money. I don’t love money . I do love the Lord God.

In case you didn't know it, I have been "doggedly collecting coins of the Central American Republic" for the past two decades. Like I said above, I upgraded the 1837 CR 4E, so the duplicate was for sale. But as unlikely as it was that I would upgrade that coin, it's far more unlikely that I will ever upgrade the 1830/29 NG 2E, which is extremely rare in any grade.
