Scratching my head at this auction

Was bored and glancing through completed ebay auctions. Saw a 1799 Dollar NGC XF40 sold for $6000. Pretty steep in my eyes.
Completed eBay auction for 1799 $ NGC XF40 for $6,000
Noticed that there was only one bidder who brought the price from $4,500 up to $6,000. Maybe it's possible there were "house" bidders since it's some kind of Live auction. Seller has a sweet 94.9% positive feedback rating.
So I checked out the bidder's activity over the past 30 days and they have 1.5 million bids? Is this some kind of Live bidding software?
Just checked active listings and that same 1799 dollar is listed again. Was $6,000 for a $4000 (or so) coin not enough?
Same coin relisted

50,000 bids per day is pretty impressive. There are 86,400 seconds in a day so that's one bid every 1.728 seconds with no sleep or time off, for 30 days in a row. Wow!
Not human.
Sometimes, it’s better to be LUCKY than good. 🍀 🍺👍

Of course I need to read the whole post as it is already known.
So there are many bidders, but all get logged as a single bidder, and the 1.5 mil bids represent all of the bidders in eBay's Live Auctions.
shill bidding... anyway, I do not like auctions. Have participated in online and live auctions and there is a reason people auction products... usually they garner higher prices. Then of course, there are the fees.... Now I just buy live, from people, for a quoted price. Cheers, RickO
