Received 2 pcgs 70 gold mercs

Just received 2 gold nerve in the mail. Both 70s. One has scratches at the bottom of the obverse and by the B in liberty, there looks like an o scratched in below the B in liberty. It's a full circle. I'll have pics later. Any thoughts?

A couple, 1) why did you have them graded in that condition and 2) what's a nerve?
I bet you send those in you'll get 69's
In honor of the memory of Cpl. Michael E. Thompson
My question is...why would you post without pictures?
Probably because he said he was posting from his phone (and probably not as easy for him to do that and do pictures) and he wanted to get the post done while he was thinking about it and not waiting to do it with pictures
I've been told I tolerate fools poorly...that may explain things if I have a problem with you. Current ebay items - Nothing at the moment
Having a bit of trouble getting the pic to post. I'm using imgur. But what do I click on to post it?

Not trying to downplay your unhappiness with the coins you bought. Just stating the obvious I guess.
if you are looking for a true 70, as a modern collector, you *always* have to view it in hand. i have seen many 70's with flaws that i would have been dissatisfied with if i had bought them for a collection...especially chinese pandas. i have seen it happen with NGC and PCGS.
the same is true with any coin that is graded such that the price is significantly different depending on a grade higher or lower. this is why cac has become important for certain coins.
many of these 70's are 69's. i have also seen some 69's that look better than 70. how is that possible? because they are getting slammed with thousands of coins to grade. there is no way they can spend more than a second or two grading these coins.
now, tell me...what i am to do with this one? I can't sell that as a 70! first world problems.
the rough area in the field is actually a die clash in the shape of the back of the neck from the bust on the obverse. but l@@k at those copper spots on the torch! yikes
