Neutral on the color but the luster and surfaces are wonderful, so many of these have problems. Love it!

Lovely original PQ example. Many would pay a premium for it. Like 63 money...though the price difference is small. Congrats.

No premium. I think the toning is a negative. Just looks not right.

Too bad you can't get a nice gold CAC sticker in the original ANA or pre bar code ANACS slab. Oh well...nice coin.

Beautiful coin, but I do not think it is worth a premium. UNLESS....you put it on Ebay with ****Monster Rainbow Toned Isabella****

I wouldn't pay a premium for the color but it sure looks better than 62.

I am sorry, but I am not a fan of this coin. I suspect that the true color of this coin has less of an orange hue when you see the coin in person. If the color shown here is true to the actual piece, It's a type of silver toning that I have not seen before. Brownish toning that takes this pattern is often seen on coins that have been dipped and has retoned, either because the dip solution was completely rinsed, or the coin was stored in something other than sulfur free paper.

I'll put this piece out there as something that has a more natural look. This Isabella Quarter is not worth a premium because of its toning, but it is a naturally toned piece with original, undipped surfaces. PCGS graded this piece MS-64.

The coin looks nice for a 62 and appears to have full luster and original surfaces. No premium for color, but certainly worth more than the typical dipped out Isabellas that you see.

I usually see opinions from people and it is for the most part no premium is said on all kinds of coins.. But if they're were selling I have to wonder if that would change. Old holder, rainbow PQ L@@K. image

IMO, the coin is an MS-62 because it has friction wear (loss of original surface and mint luster) on the high points. Compare the high point color on your coin and the other posted coin which has much less "rub."

The color is not worth a premium.

The important point is that the coin looks to be a 63/64. If it's in one of those gold foil reverse hologram holders then I would expect an upgrade. I'd certainly pay a premium to 62 money to get a higher grade...especially in that gold foil holder. If there aren't hairlines on the coin it could go 64.

On the MS64 coin above I'm not a fan of the reverse wiping/field hairlines at 6 and 11 o'clock. I'd grade the obv 64 but the reverse a 63.

Still looks like steering fluid on this coin to me. Not sure if anyone knows what that looks like. Just not for me.

Maybe it is power steering fluid. I have never seen all red toning like that.

Still would prefer my coin. And I'm not crazy about it!

Hmmmm. Looks like a nicely detailed, lustrous coin, but I see the toning as a slight negative. I'd rather have a white one, or even better, one with a nice patina.
  • NicNic Posts: 3,428 ✭✭✭✭✭
If the color has any red its a 64.
  • cheezhedcheezhed Posts: 6,131 ✭✭✭✭✭
I suspect the color is what limited the grade to begin with.

    I wouldn't pay a premium for it.

I have no problem with the toning but it is not anything special.

But I really like the strike and the surfaces.

It looks better than 62....like maybe a 63 or 64.
