Hi all
I just got this one back it graded out at AU53. Another gold half eagle found randomly in a bag full of mixed change from the inherited hoard. Hopefully there are more somewhere in the piles of coins i still have to go through.

Question, why are you sending to these coins to differnt TPG: PCGS (1918/7-S 25C) and NGC (this coin)?

Nice old gold.

Because NGC's grading philosophy is currently looser for gold.
The market feels better about PCGS' perceived accuracy in grading.
Varieties aren't typically scoped out for upgrades, since the buyers in the market are end user buyers.

There are 2 links to pictures of the coins. Can you not open the links?
For internet security reasons, not everyone wants to open up a link to an image. It is safer to see the image posted.

Sure. But everyone would prefer to see the images in the thread, not with links. (We're lazy.)
You can figure it out.

Pardon my ignorance as I am pretty new to the forum. I personally would rather have a link posted as it makes the thread load much faster and then gives me the option of looking at the image if I care to. Is there a preference in general for the forum to have the images posted inline?
Yes. Overwhelming.
