I just got news my niece who is 23 is in the hospital after suffering serious seizures she

seems to be ok for now but the worry is there ,the doctors are checking her meds to see if

they need to change them

again sorry for this off topic but I might be short with people and wanted to explain why

this day is not going good

at this stage the doctors have no idea what triggered it and it's a worry for my sister as her daughter is in the hospital and no real cause known

Something like this happened to my sister and she recovered but the doctors never really figured out what caused it. They were leaning towards Lyme disease at first but ruled it out after a while in favor of some sort of auto immune disease . She recovered but it took about 6 months to get back to her normal self. She had a lot of initial memory loss too which was very frustrating for her.

Here's hoping your niece has an easier time of it and they figure out what caused it .

Try not to worry too much as hard as that is...
It could easily be from medication imbalance- depending on what meds she's on.
Let's try not to spin-out into some of the other, and less common possible'causes.
Worry, though hard to control-very seldom helps anything!

Ugh. Best wishes for your niece. I really hate when the body starts to screw up. You sorta feel betrayed...

But the good news is modern medicine is bizarrely good. I should have been pushing daisies from the big "C" 7 years ago, but I'm still around making people's lives miserable!

Hopefully, they'll find the cause and find a cure or therapy...

Sounds exactly what happened to my wife's best friend's granddaughter. She too was suffering from frequent and unexplained seizures. After much testing they discovered she has encephalitis. She is still in the hospital.
I hope your niece is doing better.
