Vault Wholesale and the Mercury Dime 2016 Centennial Gold Coin

At 6 PM tonight I get an email from the Vault Wholesale dealers.
They were offering to pay $500 over issue price if you bought the max 10 coins and sold them to the Vault Wholesale company. The offer was for the first 50 people who contacted them with their order numbers on 4/21.
So if you lay out $2050, they'll pay $2550. That was a flip I would do.
But at 9 PM I get a new email saying
The response to our Mercury Dime 2016 Centennial Gold Coin promotion was more than we could have imagined! We have already gotten commitments well beyond our target.
We will continue to accept all orders we receive tomorrow, as promised, but we can now guarantee "only" $250 per set of ten coins.
A 12% ROI isn't bad, but I'm not going to buy any coins for them now since they cut the deal in half.

And I hope the coin tanks.
