Fake Liberty Seated Dime 1866-S

I thought I'd share a fake 1866-S Liberty Seated dime that I bought for $10 a good number years ago (15?) Tell me what you think. I never seen one with LIBERTY with raised lettering.

Sorry about the size, just better to see.

EDIT: the Weight is 2.76gr, Dia 17.67 mm vs real coin of 2.67gr, and 17.9 dia

    Modern? Contemporary? Cool example.

That is so bad that I think it's worth $10 just for the entertainment factor

It is a "modern" counterfeit in that it was made some time in the past 30-35 years or so. I recognize the style of the die making.

definitely modern, they were available on ebay by the handful until the ban, now they are simply listed as genuine, the people that fought so hard to get fakes banned from ebay actually hurt the market more than helped, nothing new, a bleeding heart trying to protect people from themselves

Please explain. Nobody wants Chinese fakes in the marketplace.

The only Seated Liberty Series coin (that I know of) with the raised LIBERTY is the 20C Piece.

    Pretty bad fake/counterfeit.

the Chinese fakes are here regardless. the best way to avoid them is to know that they are here and what they look like, when something is well known its easier to steer clear of. did anyone honestly believe the counterfeits would all disappear once ebay banned them ?
