  The Coinstar at the market has been devoid of finds lately... since I posted about the six gallon ladies...nothing. Finding a decent Buff is cool though...congratulations on that find. Cheers, RickO

  I wonder what prompted it to kick into the reject bin? The composition has not changed since it's inception in 1866 (other than the war-time 35% silver)? 75%-25% CU-NI

  I wonder how many other Buffalo Nickels were in the jar that ended up at the CoinStar....and were not rejected.

  How many other old coins ?? That what I was wondering ... I have used CoinStar several times ..it has kicked out coins ..and the coins are accepted when put back again ..so I wonder if kicked for some other reason

  I think it would be fun to take a sack full of neat coins- like common Buffalo nickels and wartime cents and leave a couple at a time in CoinStar machines. The glee in people's faces and delight in finding such a treasure would be totally worth it.
  
  I know when I found a silver dime a few months ago in one it somehow inexplicably planted a smile on my face that didn't fade for awhile afterward.
