I shared this on the US Coin site but also sharing here for the Darkside group.

The only issue which is formally authorized and shipped to the colonies by the British Parliament. It came in payment along with some Spanish silver for payment of the Lewisburg expedition of Cape Breton. The shipment represented about 30% of the entire mintage of the issue and remains an important part of a Colonial set.

Checked out my own 1749 farthing, in significant circulated condition. Couldn't imagine that the issue could be so attrative!
