well found this 2001s Kentucky clad statehood quarter in my change yesterday
now most times I find the D and sometimes P mint coins in my change but finding a S
is quite uncommon

I've added quite a few handfuls of modern Proof coinage to circulation
Same here... I have added a lot of 1965-1972 proofs to circulation!!
but how common is it to find S coins in change?

Although I did manage to find a 1969-D 1c without the FG designer's initials in a parking lot.
Sold it for $15. Some people make fun of people for picking up coins on the ground....I wonder if those same people would pass up $15 in bills laying on the ground? lol
SilverPop: I have found the following S mint proofs in circulation:
5c 1968-S, 1983-S (already worn to XF) I carry now as a pocket piece, it's nearly VG now
25c 1968-S (2), 1972-S, 2001-S Vermont Clad
That's it. And that's after more than 40 years of looking through change, not necessarily roll searching though.
I would imagine they're out there but in extremely small quantities.
