My first PCGS submission

clarkbar04clarkbar04 Posts: 5,013 ✭✭✭✭✭
Las Vegas Teddy let me use 2 of his quarterly specials since they were going to otherwise expire, 3 silver coins graded for the price of 4. Thank you Teddy!

I was 8 for 8 on that submission, 2 I left off as they didn't really pan out grade wise, (1934 MS62 and 1935 MS64) plus 6 pics is more than enough for one thread.

I think the trueviews look kinda funky, myself, the coins are for the most part white, with exception to the 16-D. A couple have some real light toning on them.

1936-S; MS65 (not sure what's up with the brown splotch on Miss Liberty's dress, it isn't on the coin)

" 3 silver coins graded for the price of 4." That sounds like the worst special ever.

Nice group of Walkers you got there.

When they're 1916 Walkers that look like those it's not a bad deal!

    Nice group image

PCGS allowed 3 submissions of the 4/1 free special.

    I only used one.
    Nice that LVT shared.

With the amount of carriage return editing I had to do just to get the pics oriented semi-correctly, I will leave the typo up there just for fun, and sanity's sake.

    Nice stuff!

I love that 16S - you found that raw, in the wild? I bet I haven't seen a coin like that raw in > 20 years.

They all look MS66, MS67 to me. Perhaps you could point out those glaring, distracting marks that would cause the low grades. I see a couple of small nicks on the legs and a sleight abrasion in a field, I don't know...what am I missing? Very nice strikes, by the way.

Late date walkers don't really do much for me, although yours are quite nice, but I love that 16-s!!!

Thanks everyone. It is interesting to compare my photos which typically make the coins look worse than they do in person, to the trueviews.

All coins came from the most hated of online auction websites. I live "in the sticks" and there aren't any coin stores near me with this kind of stuff.

Here is my pic of the 36-D 66:

This is the 35 they said was a 64:

I think I'll send this 36 philly in on the next econ sub.
