Not my coin, but give the grade a shot if you'd like

MS65

I assume the scratches are on the holder. It is being offered by David Hall.
This is the #1 key date of this great series and the example offered here is one of the finest known. This coin is a frosty white Gem with radiant luster and ultra-clean fields. The strike is exceptional for the date. This series is so incredibly popular that it is exciting just to see the key issue in Gem quality. It is ten times more exhilarating to have the pleasure to offer it to you. One of the great coins of the 20th century as it completes what is perhaps the beautiful and most challenging of all the magnificent series from this era.

I had to do a double take myself Smittys. 1921-S Peace Dollar...don't think so, unless those chinese are at the minting press again.

It looks to have hairlines on the obverse (some or all could be die polish lines, but I'm skeptical of that), as well as some small marks and
scratches. A rare coin at this grade level in spite of the imperfections.

IMO a bit too much dip; those look to be die polish lines to me - unidirectional for the most part and disappear into the devices, etc. A nice coin but like a bit more tone to the skin...

Coin looks really dipped out with significant die polish lines.

Decent strike and clean surfaces, though, so I can understand the logic behind the grade.

Sometimes, it’s better to be LUCKY than good. 🍀 🍺👍

Great. My foot in my mouth , once again. Barring the sticker and getting the upgrade, it looks like I was right in the ballpark. image
