Funny thing about the 1942-D-----it is one of the toughest D issues from 1941-1947. My local B&M dealer had a 66 in an old white fatty for months. At 180 bucks-----it was a very good deal, as it was very clean and lustrous with a better than average strike. Every time I went in there I meant to buy it but was just being an INCREDIBLE cheapskate and failing to do so, as I was always saving for the next HUGE early Walker purchase. He finally sold it to someone else. I was a FOOL, as it would have been a nice addition to my date set.

I said 'goodbye' to this one at Summer FUN on Thur, from my slowly dwindling hoard of duplicates, triplicates, etc. Yes, it had the nasty ding on the rev, but it sold and resold quickly from dealer to dealer, so maybe it wasn't that bad - or I sold it too cheap LOL:
Great old thread. I never get tired of looking at Walkers and even though I finished my set earlier this year, I still go right to the Walkers when auction lots go on line.
I said earlier that I would post my 21-S when I got a photo of it. I think I have posted it in other threads, but here it is. I acquired this from Bill Shamhart and am very happy with it.

Walker Proof Digital Album Fellas, leave the tight pants to the ladies. If I can count the coins in your pockets you better use them to call a tailor. Stay thirsty my friends......
Wow... a couple of blast white beauties in this resurrection.... this is one thread I always review from start to finish... love the Walkers.... especially those blast white specimens.... Cheers, RickO

Congrats on nearing the completion of your set!
That 1921-D is awesome!
I'd be interested in seeing an image of your 1921-S, too.
With upgrades and (for me) the 1934-1947 year coins, my set will always be a work in progress, too.

I did not know that about the '42D, i'll have to look but I think my example is in a old fattie 66 holder (maybe 65?).

Looks like Photobucket killed all my images in this thread. @messydesk took these two at Fun.
