Picked up this cool Buffalo error at Westchester show

Unsuccessful in adding any upgrades to my Buffalo set or cherrypicking any varieties at the recent Westchester show, but couldn't resist this major reverse cud in an NGC-53 holder. I've liked them ever since seeing a photo in Lange's Complete Guide years ago and have owned a couple of lower graded examples. Both had the recessed area under the Buffalo completely obliterated, and I seem to recall seeing a photo of another one somewhere with only about half of area filled. Are they all from the same die, which failed in stages?

Your coin is a nice high grade, and very very
scarce as such.
Cud Die Breaks are known for many years, so you'd
have to compare same year/same cud location to
see if your's is a progression of the same die break.

As per Fred's suggestion, here is a photo of one of the lower graded coins that I still own, along with the original post. There appears to be some differences, especially along the top left edge, so I'm not sure if the higher graded coin is an earlier die state or a different die completely.
I don't think I could have resisted that one either.

Y'know, I dug up a Buffalo cud like that when I was detecting, once. The cud affected the same area.
My dug coin was heavily circulated and in fact dateless, however.
