I prefer cl*****ic ones but would make an exception for 1965, my birth year.

I prefer off center or multiply struck errors, though some broadstrikes and wrong planchet errors are neat.

It has to be a pretty dramatic major error to turn me on, usually. Edge errors are interesting on Bust halves but not obvious enough to make me interested in the modern ones. Die rotation errors likewise.

If I need a loupe to see the error, fuhgeddaboutit.

PS- I see the psychotic robocensor has still not been fixed. image

Depening on the error I prefer modern since they are so much harder to obtain. Back in the day a lot more errors made it out unlike today the equipment used makes it much harder for good errors to make it out.

Some of the "cl*****ic" errors I dont even consider to be errors but thats my opinion.

I enjoy viewing error coins.. have not collected them specifically.... I always marvel at

how some of the more recent coins make it out of the mint.... Cheers, RickO

"struck through" is not a coin error. It is a quality control error.

Time stands still for coins struck. No matter how, some of us just like them for what they are , in spite of modern man in his folly. It's a fairly peaceful hobby.

    edit to add.
Though, this particular buffalo nickel created issues with the seller after the fact, it still made it into PCGS plastic without any issues.
