USPS tracking

Anyone else having issues? Sent one out yesterday, but tracking only shows that pre-shipment info was sent to the USPS.

Maybe your PO is going down the same path as mine.

At mine, if you want your label scanned you have to put the package on the counter. Then somebody might scan it.But there is usually a one day delay before it shows up as accepted.

It used to go to the major city after that, but now it goes to a new regional sorting center, where it gets scanned in, but usually not when it leaves.

    It's just worsening service

My carrier says he picked it up and scanned it. He always scans it in pronto.

I always take mine to the counter and get a receipt. I rarely have problems this way.

A 24 to 48 hour delay in online tracking is not unusual these days. I bet it shows up after midnight tonight.

Not worth the trip to mail a catalog.

Yes, I sometimes see delays too. I see it just updated. Went direct from pre-shipment info sent to the USPS to arriving in Shreveport.

I had that yesterday. Did a online label in the AM, dropped it off around 11 am, tracking did not show anything until this morning when I was almost there.

Check to see if it every fully updates with all scans. My only concern was that smoeone swiped it out of my mailbox.

Not yet for me. We'll see if it fully updates when delivered.

This is all it shows. Pretty sure it didn't go direct from Ames to Shreveport.

    Pre-Shipment Info Sent to USPS

Tracking details added AFTER arrival at Shreveport, but nothing more for the interim in between departure from here and arrival there. I hope the USPS could provide more info in the event of a claim.

My postmaster hangs his hat on hand held data collectors that he puts into a cradle in his office which uploads the scan data, in turn, the larger database might not reflect the upload, because it's the internet and databases and, well, that's just the way it works.

Oftimes it's posted to tracking within minutes when my carrier removes it from my mailbox and scans it in.
