Just got some grades in....over all I'm a happy camper

Hi all,
I sent in some stuff that was received on the 4th and grades posted yesterday. This was using my 8 free submissions. A few did not grade, notably a 1916 Buffalo (cleaned), a 1925-S California commemorative (cleaned), and a 1936-D Buffalo (questionable color).
One ofthe 5 left was an 1883 Shield Nickel that I bought at a local show about 2 years ago. I am NOT a big purchaser of raw coins since my grading expertise needs some honing, but the dealer has always been good to me. He said that this was a great Shield Nickel and thought it was high grade. I bought it for just a bit north of $300, a lot for me to pay for a raw coin. Long story short, finally sent in, came back MS66. All smiles
Another coin in that submission was a 1942-S war nickel, again a raw purchase off eBay. I did the best offer thing about 4 years ago, offered $50 for it which was automatically accepted. I thought "well, paid too much for that one". When I received it, it almost looked whizzed, but in fact had a bit of die polish lines on it. I posted a few pics of it back in December, 2012. I actually didn't think much of it but needed an 8th coin for my submission and said "why not". Grade came back MS66+FS.
I will post some pics when I get them back. Needless to say, I might have to look at some other raw coins. These 2 made up for the 3 no grades for sure.

You have to insert either < br> or < p> to create a new line (with no space after the "<")<br>
That's a nice gesture and helpful for us old fashioned keyboarders using basic qwerty to type. That return key used to start a new line.

I tend to avoid raw since even after 40 yrs my track record on those I do buy raw ( seems like 40%) come back with some issue with TPG. Most common is "Questionable color"
