This seller has a dozen PCGS Secure rim toned CBH's....yet the designated cleaned example seems to look a lot like the other straight graded examples...granted, not the best pics....but still it's interesting to me...any thoughts?

They all have been previously cleaned and later album-retoned. That much is obvious.
I'm not crazy about any of them. But I'd love to see them in hand. The photos are not very helpful but I wouldn't be surprised if there isn't a winner among them.

I bet if you had all the coins together, the details coin would have more tiny hairlines compared to the straight graded coins.

I saw those too and and could not believe they straight graded. They all look harshly cleaned and retoned. I would pass on all of them
My thoughts are the same. Most look harshly cleaned.

I'm watching a few. I figure they're all from the same collection and have been treated the same. PCGS liked some and not others.

Isn't the "sniffer" part of the Secure service supposed to sniff out the cleaning?....or could it just be a matter of a new chemical being used not yet programmed into the sniffer's brain? Or doesn't it work that way at all?
No, the Sniffer has nothing to do with cleaning. It's just supposed to detect PCGS's banned chemicals.

I think for these coins, AT does not mean 'album toning'.

Ok. I hate to be dense (yet I am all the time!) but I thought that the sniffer detected common chemicals used for cleaning....I mean in this case if these CBH's are indeed cleaned then the cleaner didn't just use a Brillo pad and no chemicals, right?
