Mass PM - Updated with Response

MidLifeCrisisMidLifeCrisis Posts: 10,613 ✭✭✭✭✭
It appears I just sent a mass PM to all the moderators trying to get my title changed.

I thought I was sending the PM to one moderator "inbox" that they could all read.

So, moderators, sorry about the mass PMs. But I'd appreciate help from any one of you. Thanks.

For those of you also trying to get yours changed, I just received this nice response:

Hi Mark,

In the future, you do not need to PM Joe Orlando for such inquiries. These requests must go through the forum admin.

Also, it is preferred that you only reach out to the Sportsmoderator1 account or email webmaster@collectors.com. I don't log in to the other account very often.

I will look into updating your user title next week.

Lol, I tried getting mine done as well, and actually heard from someone who's responsible to change the titles. I gave her my info...last year....never heard back. Good luck.

If any of the moderators want to help us out, feel free.

You might have to wait until Monday since it's the weekend.

    Your new title: "Spammer" lol

This really is something that should be de-mystified and sorted .... there have been a lot of posts over the years questioning how to get one's hard earned title added....this should be an easy correction to the new software update so that those with 10k can change titles as they please...perhaps as part of their profile page? Otherwise that "choose your title" is just an epic tease.

Back when I got my title, I wrote CarolJ a note on parchment, attached a three-cent stamp, and dispatched it with the Pony Express rider since the clipper ship around Cape Horn would've taken too long and they hadn't driven that last gold spike in the transcontinental railroad yet. image

I got mine in a half a day but then I was sworn to secrecy.

Wow... a lot of members waiting to add their title... used to be very quick. Looks as if the

method is now clearly stated in the OP.... So, let's have a bunch of new titles...image

RCO suggested mine - obvious in retrospect - good luck!

My title came back quickly after the initial disruption of the change, and I didn't have to do a thing.

Many don't remember but the Pony Express cost a Half Eagle for 1/2 Ounce in the day.
