57-D Quarter in change today

Hello,

When I got home and went to dump my change I took a quick look.

My numismatically trained eyes recognized silver!

I don't remember the last times I received a silver quarter in change. There doesn't appear to be anything special about the coin but it is a keeper to me.

I rarely log in but still wanted to share.

    It's been several years since I found any silver in the wild....a dime was the last.

    Congrats!! So difficult to find even if you are crazy enough like me to search a $500 box once in a while. I would say in my area it is now 1 in every 5 or 6 boxes but I don't have nearly the sample size. Could be even worse?? So yeah, a single silver quarter in change is quite the find.

    I keep an eye on the tills at my part time job and have asked other employees to do the same. The last silver I found was a couple of Mercury Dimes in a roll...very surprised to see them!
