Whose initials "JR" are those above the "DC" on the obverse of the Capped Bust Trade dollar?
One would assume John Reich, who created the original version of that obverse design.

Yes, correct. I added my DC initials under the JR because I re-sculpted the Bust to my liking.
Also on the obverses of the Clark Gruber pieces, the bust truncations have "JBL" and "DC". "JBL" is for James B Longacre - the original sculptor. I added my DC initials on those as well because I also re-sculpted them with changes.
There is a strong possibility that I will do one as a "$60" 1.5 troy oz 999 silver version.
Great!
I will certainly purchase a few of them.
I need to do an inventory of the items I have obtained from you, I see these posts and think to myself, "Oh I have one of those, Oh look, I forgot about that one", etc.

Obviously, I think so
Of course, I'm a big fan of the current design as well:

Going through 'my stuff' is like Christmas!
Take Care.
It would be nice if they still accepted face value for these Gruber coins in Colorado.
You can actually spend these in Colorado so it's not that far fetched
Any chance the design will be available in silver for us low-budget collectors?
