Whose initials "JR" are those above the "DC" on the obverse of the Capped Bust Trade dollar?
    Love that Milled British (1830-1960)

One would assume John Reich, who created the original version of that obverse design.

Would it be cool to have a octagonal slug which had similar words around the border:

"DANIEL CARR MINT-MASTER CLARK GRUBER & CO DENVER"

    Obviously, I think so image

Of course, I'm a big fan of the current design as well:

    Yes, correct.
I added my DC initials under the JR because I re-sculpted the Bust to my liking.

Also on the obverses of the Clark Gruber pieces, the bust truncations have "JBL" and "DC".
"JBL" is for James B Longacre - the original sculptor. I added my DC initials on those as well because I also re-sculpted them with changes.

There is a strong possibility that I will do one as a "$60" 1.5 troy oz 999 silver version.

    Great!

I will certainly purchase a few of them.

I need to do an inventory of the items I have obtained from you, I see these posts and think to myself, "Oh I have one of those, Oh look, I forgot about that one", etc.

Going through 'my stuff' is like Christmas!

    Take Care.

I picked up the silver 9 coin set and a 1/4 gold coin and some Apollo golden dollars. Lots of nice stuff available now.

It would be nice if they still accepted face value for these Gruber coins in Colorado.image

You can actually spend these in Colorado so it's not that far fetched image
