Now that a lot of dealers report they are pulling in $200k+ income a year, where are they getting it from? Other dealers or collectors?

    I love it! Having $1M to >$2M is considered a "Baby Millionaire" now. Sadly, I have to agree, because it in not enough to retire on in 2015. At one time $1M was a LOT of money, but not anymore. Now you can barely retire with a lower middle income lifestyle if you have $1M. Think about it. You have a paid for $300,000 house, and $700,000 worth of investments kicking out 5% (10% in a good year) so you live on the pretax $35,000 - $70,000 per year. If you are under 65 and not disabled, you get to fork over up to 1/3rd of that pretax amount (or $12,000) to Obamacare. If you are 65, you'll get Medicare and an extra $1,000 - $2,000 per month for SS.

    Inflation sucks! You really need more than $2M if you want any chance at a decent middle class retirement.

    Being wealthy is over rated. Quality of life is far more important. I know some people who are well off and who are unhappy if not miserable. You sound like you are happy with your life and thoroughly enjoy your family and hobbies which is really what matters.

    I'm 56, and my net worth isn't that much, but during our good weather here in Canada, I'm golfing everyday between April to October, so I definitely have to agree with the previous poster who said "it's not about the money, but rather, it's about your quality of life that's important".
