Not the best centering, but I got this card in part because my Dad loves Yogi.

The biggest lesson I've learned in this hobby, and in life, is that if you have a strong conviction, you owe it to yourself to see it through. Don't sell yourself, or your investments, short. Unless the facts change. Then sell it all.
These just arrived today. Three more to add to my T206 sub-set ... NY Players. I now have 21.
The Engle looks a lot worse enlarged than it does in hand.
STAY HEALTHY!

Liquidating my collection for the 3rd and final time. Time for others to enjoy what I have enjoyed over the last several decades. Money could be put to better use.
These arrived today...would like to thank Jeff (Card Country) for yet another flawless deal. Jeff is the best in the business! These are both upgrades to my Mantle run. Thankfully just a few more cards to go
Congrats guys ... LOTS of real nice looking cards. Hope everyone enjoys them.
Thanks Mike ... that Meyers does have a nice color to it.

<< <i>I could use some context on this card please. >>
Looks like a concert poster/tobacco card for the band Widespread Panic >>
100%. it's actually a handbill from a 2 night run and extremely rare.
probably not a lot of panic fans on the board, but it's the only time they ever played
"this week in baseball" but a lot of you probably know...
"no sugar tonight" and neil young's "are you ready for the country?"
was a decent show and kc rocks.
1: Climb To Safety, Fishing, Wondering, Clinic Cynic, Pickin' Up The Pieces, Coconut, Old Joe, Chunk Of Coal, Let's Get The Show On The Road, Porch Song, Imitation Leather Shoes
2: This Week In Baseball, Chilly Water > Nebulous > Chilly Water, Don't Wanna Lose You, All Time Low > Drums > Hatfield, Arleen > Blue Indian, No Sugar Tonight/New Mother Nature
E: Are You Ready For The Country?, Travelin' Light
[Only 'This Week In Baseball'; Set 1 acoustic; Bluegrass version of 'Imitation Leather Shoes']
This one arrived today, as I won it last week. Big Klu was not only a former Reds player, but also an alum of Indiana University, which is my alma mater. He is in the IU athletics HOF, where he was most know for his efforts on the grid iron rather than on the diamond.
And I love the Mike Powers story, and the idea for a strange baseball story wing of cards. Cool project.
As for my Fox, appreciate all the nice comments. I'm glad I saw it on a 5x eBay bucks day or I probably would have passed, and in hand it really does look great.
<< <i>I also added a Mike Powers which goes into my oddball wing of strange baseball story cards. I really need to create a thread on this part of my collecting habit.
On April 12, 1909, Powers was injured during the first game played in Philadelphia's Shibe Park, crashing into a wall while chasing a foul pop-up. He sustained internal injuries from the collision and died two weeks later from complications from three intestinal surgeries, becoming possibly the first Major Leaguer to suffer an on-field injury that eventually led to his death >>
The story makes this a much sweeter pickup than the Mantles. I'm looking forward to the oddball thread

Without a doubt one of the best looking 57 cards. One of my favorites for sure. Congrats. >>
The 57 Klu is one of the best card photos of all time. So classic.
JR, great pickups! I'm not well versed on Mantle cards, but I've been curious for a while whether the 69 name in yellow or white is the rarer version. Can somebody clue me in?
That's what I've been trying to figure out. I know there is a size disparity between wax and vending that year but I don't know how big of a difference. It's obviously smaller than the Alcindor I posted earlier.

That's good info, thanks! FWIW, I compared against a few 70T BkB that I have and T/B border totals look to be the same size as the Robertson.
I just got this one in the mail this morning. Another to add to my low grade (centered ) Mantle collection. Not sure why the front scan came out a bit blurry, but the card is really in good focus.

I mentioned in my Yaz thread that I recently made another purchase from opcbaseball.com . These were the other cards I bought from Tom together with the Yaz. I don't "officially" collect Brady, in the sense that I don't concentrate on hunting down his cards and I don't have an inventory spreadsheet, but I do like to pick them up here and there.
This RC is gorgeous in hand! Any white flecks in the scan are lint on the scanner.
These are my first 2 Brady relic cards. Love the Pro Bowl jersey. Bottom relic is numbered /250
There's some chipping on the Inception card, but I think it's an awesome card design. That one is numbered /75 in case you can't see it in the scan. Elite Teams numbered /1000. And I don't know about you, but I'm a sucker for a die cut card.

That's a very respectable card - I'd take it.
On Yogi - for those who weren't here years ago.
A guy came on board and said he was interesting in picking up all cards Yogi.
A member replied: "I have a really nice PSA 5 Berk Ross"
Guy: "No thanks, I'm only interested in Berra."
The board lit up with laughter - in fact, I think they're still laughing!

That's a beaut, super sharp registration!

+1. 51 Bowman has to be one of the most attractive sets of all time and when a card is as bright and clean as yours, it really pops!
<< <i>I love 5x eBay Bucks! Picked up this beauty to start my 33 Sport Kings quest.
Very nice card, been looking for a Bailey in a 6 to go with my 33 Shore.
Very nice pickups - I'm lovin' the centering.

great card and an extreme toughie to find centered. been my nemesis in my hof signed rookie set...
tough enough to find centered and add on that it has to be signed?
