What you're talking about is speculating........ and not a single person on the planet can predict what the price will do in the future.
If you're talking about a long-term play, diversification, or a hedge to inflation, that's (only slightly) different. I'd suggest soliciting advice from professionals, not random people on an Internet forum.
Trust me,,,
It may go down BEFORE it goes up but it will go up,,,,,,
It may be 2050 before it does but it will,,,,,

don't even know what a $20 gold piece looks like let alone can give me advice on gold. I think the
formites would have a bit better info on purchasing gold. A lot better than my two stock guys and
a heck of a lot better than TV "experts".

Plenty of members me included will trade ASE's for AGE's. Mainly do what you can live with. If you have to ask sounds like your not ready to me.
It will hit $2,000 in our lifetime (if you are young enough) but the question is how many years will it stay below $800 after it falls that low. No one knows.
Instead of bullion or Eagles, you should consider TPG Saints. When gold falls, they don't fall as much and when gold goes up, they go up to.
