I get excited by eye appealing Civil War dated coins.

Pictured below are my two half dollar NEWPS. Both are AU55's.

Very nice newps, I have recently caught myself staring too long at some seated coinage.
MS66 taste on an MS63 budget.

<< <i>hey you managed to get those two...I really wanted that 1863 when it was first listed! >>

I missed them, but talked the original BST buyer into selling me these two.

They both have their fine attributes. One would be nice, more than likely the 1863 if I had to choose.

    Nice acquisitions! image

NOTE: The 1862 (32548219) in between these two was considered damaged.

Nothing wrong with either one of those, nice coins! Now you need to find a '62, '64 and a '65 that look just like these. Look forward to seeing your post on those in 2017! image

    RickO,
Where are you from? I, myself, am a proud southerner living in Birmingham, AL.

Both are very nice pieces but that 1861 looks like an undergrade to me.

I can certainly agree that the 1861 is undergraded. There is a touch less wear on the breast area in comparison to the 1863.

That 1861 is the finest AU 55 that I've ever seen!!

But I truly appreciate them both!!

I plan to send to CAC.

Is a gold sticker as good as an upgrade?

    Both are very nice!
