Now that they're gone a lot depends on what gold does in the next few months. Buying on the secondary market this summer will be expensive. If gold's $1000 this fall a slabbed 69 might be had for $1100. >>
If they've really sold out I think that it's a safe bet that even the short term flip will be very nice w/sold long term appreciation as well :-)

If they sold 30k in little more than an hour then I would think they sold quite a few more than 35k in about 3 hours unless sales dropped off quite dramatically after the first hour. He did say "more than" 35k.
Gold and silver are valuable but wisdom is priceless.
I noticed my order was processing and on hold so I checked my cc info. Saw 2 pending charges that were the same as my one order total making it twice as big. I never check this stuff so is that normal.

BTW, I must commend the U.S. Mint on an amazing job of getting these coins distributed to the throngs of buyers.....I think their system is topnotch and tweaked.

I was just concerned about it going past my credit limit and causing a delay but even with the extra pending I squeaked by I think but had to do the math cause it was close.

It is heartening that even with the improved system for ordering and the Mint's greater awareness of the market, that these opportunities can float through the moat.

Well you can pretty much count on each order to have one. There could be orders for other products so you estimate a number to subtract. Then estimate an average number per order based on the cost. Well, it is still a guessing game for the most part.

Just got my notification of these being available, and on backorder. The notification upon checkout states the "Expected in-stock date is July 30th", which is today. It allowed me to place an order for a single one, but wasn't going to buy ANY, until reading this thread, and seeing how quickly these are disappearing. As has been said, not particularly fond of forking $400 something as a premium, but at least I'm in. We'll see how it goes, but at the very least, it's GOLD!!

I tried to buy one about two hours ago and the website said "unavailable", I put my email in to be notified if it went back on sale and they just emailed me so I jumped on it.

Why do you sound so meanr with the responce you posted? You had every chance to do the same? Open your wallet a little bigger next time. Let me guess you are the type that would rather the "big" dealers make all the money and us little guys get screwed? I am far from rich and try to make a few bucks to cover my other coin buys. I have actually sold to a few members on the board below the going rate. I also offered to help another forum member who was unable to buy a sold out item due to family reasons a coin set at cost since I had a few extra and would have lost a huge profit if he accepted but he dident really want the set. Please don't lump all of us in to one group as not all of us are crooks and cheat the system. Please don't take me as trying to pick a fight either because i am not all I am trying to say is don't be to harsh on people. You never know when one of us "wanna be dealers" might offer to lend you a hand or help you out with something..
