Crooked coin dealers headed to FEDERAL pokey

I do not like the author of this article at all, because he is a tool of the existing big telemarketers who pushed through that MN coin bullion dealer law. However, I did find it interesting how the people this author, and the MN Attorney General, used as an excuse to put in a Draconian MN coin bullion dealer law, were prosecuted and sent to prison under existing Federal laws.

Scammers like this now permeate all levels of our society. My upstairs neighbor is a lower level scammer just like
the world of salesmen, doctors, lawyers, ministers and even cops .

You have to watch out for everyone these days. No one can be trusted.

If their lips are moving they're most likely lying.

There are definitely dishonest people at all levels.... always have been. It is up to each of us to safeguard ourselves - in business, at leisure and at home. Cheers, RickO

All of the big-time financial firms make you sign tons of statements regarding risk before they will put you into a certain portfolio, even for low-risk things. I wonder if rare coins are headed in the same direction.

It's ironic they won't prosecute the fraudsters pumping water into our food since
MN is the state of the most recent fatal bridge collapse. In modern day America
it's legal to steal as long as you do it by the billions. The less you steal, the harsher
    the penalties.

There was a good letter to the editor today in response to the newspaper article about the crooked coin dealers going to jail.

Headed to the joint where they get free food, free housing, free education, free television. All paid for by the voters. Justice is like icing on the cake.

"…Drunks and drug users" is how the author describes "telemarketers". image

Despite the "facts" of the cases, the author should have a gossip column, too.
