as Ricko said, welcome to the forums! I can't help you out, but I am a member of another chat forum that might be able to help. With your permission I can post pics over there. It's a pretty sweet looking coin/token though!

Mystery solved thanks to pcgs69 network connections. So as Bayard1908 suspected Louis XIV.

A French war token to finance the war between Holland and France (1672-1679):

It's fun to talk about our oldest find.Mine is "1803" Russia 5 Kopeks.

Silversun, congrats on your "1672" you never forget making a find like this.

A human being is a part of the whole called by us universe, a part limited in time and space. He experiences himself, his thoughts and feeling as something separated from the rest, a kind of optical delusion of his consciousness. This delusion is a kind of prison for us, restricting us to our personal desires and to affection for a few persons nearest to us. Our task must be to free ourselves from this prison by widening our circle of compassion to embrace all living creatures and the whole of nature in its beauty.

That is a very cool find. These are referred to as jetons, by the way.

But I see the Treasurenet thread already mentioned that.

Collector since 1976. On the CU forums here since 2001.
