Collecting 1970s Topps baseball wax, rack and cello packs, as well as PCGS graded Half Cents, Large Cents, Two Cent pieces and Three Cent Silver pieces.
I chose this one because it's not got the hiccups.
I just called pcgs and they need to be sent in sealed shipping boxes from the mint.

Only if you're getting the Dollar graded w/ attribution to this Special Silver Set... the dimes are unique to this set and do not need to be sent in sealed if you're only wanting those graded.

Speaking of no hiccups, what is the big attraction to these sets? The RP Dime?
The big deal is the RP dime with the other deal the 75k mintage PR W dime
The proof commem is the same as has already been released. There's also the nice OGP, for those of us who like that stuff.
Hopefully this sealed box story means there is a set label for each of the 3 labelled coins.

I'm actually glad the mint did it with the RP in P and the Pr in W. Sure minting the RP in W would have made for the 'ultimate' Roosevelt dime since IMHO the W mint is the modern day 'equivalent' of Carson City. However, the Pr in P would have been completely blah.
The current way, they've created two cool, collectible dimes!

Special set labels where one or more coins have previously been released most often follows a special, unpublished, exception where the set must be sent in sealed in the shipping boxes to ensure the set coins actually came in the set.
HOWEVER, if you don't care about the set label you can just get the 2 dimes graded by simply opening the set and sending in the coins as Illini has mentioned. Or all 3 will be graded, but you lose the set designation on the label.
I imagine there was no marshal's service set label because the mint sold and pcgs graded the 3 coin set from day one outside of shipping and sealed box channels. Boo.
And first strike does indeed start today.
the sale of the $1 on the bay could get really ugly even in 70 first strike with set label.

Not sure how UPS is an upgrade.
My USPS order is scheduled for delivery on Thursday, UPS on the Monday after.
Not sure why companies use UPS, for small packages, they are more expensive, take longer and don't deliver on Saturdays...

My UPS from the Mint are 2nd day ground and they do arrive in 2 days (Saturday excluded)
The FedEx/USPS dumbpost takes at least a week sometimes longer....

Simple math for me.....
UPS ground gets to me in 7 days.
Smartpost takes ~10 days. It spends 2-3 days within 20m driving of me but I can't get it until the 10th day or so when it is delivered.
So, for me, that's an UPGRADE.
Now, note, that if it shipped regular USPS it WOULD get to me much earlier (using 3-4 days) but that isn't smartpost...they aren't USPS until the last leg.

4 sets arrived today (5/12), came via USPS regular mail (well at least they just showed up in my mailbox)
Very interesting that the set that did not arrive was the second set I purchased, about 9:13am, USM03198xxx

I just sent mine off for grading but it was around 10"x6x3 (maybe 4) approximate but not as big as expected...weight was a tad over 5 lbs for 2 boxes of 5 sets

Today went back to the Mint site ...found my unsuccessful order of 5-4-15 for PO Box, is now all of a sudden in processing .. no order confirmation was sent, but credit card charged on 5-4...... got an extra 5 sets coming ..... This order # 3201 XXXX
